Place: Temple is situated near Godavari temple of Andrea Pradesh. River Godavari over here is considered as dakshin Ganges. According many people, it is also known as Rajah Mundry Dakshin kashi. People from distant place come to this place to have a view of Pushkara fair which takes place in every 12 years.



Description:Right cheek of Devi sati has fallen near the Godavari Tir. Godavari River is really very sacred to Hindu people. This is also a wonderful place of pilgrimage. The goddess idol is worshiped here with the name of Vishwamatrika. This word is denoted for stating mother of the world. Lord Shiva has various names in various places and here Shiva is named as Dandapani (hold on staff)
